What is an eligible competitive start?
An eligible competitive start is any individual horse-and-rider combination that competes in a scored or timed run that counts toward official results. Exhibition runs, warm-ups, and non-competitive entries are not charged.
What if a run counts toward multiple side pots?
One run = one start fee. If a single run is eligible for the main class plus three side pots, the competitor pays one start fee, not four.
What are the per-horse caps?
Per-horse caps limit total start fees any single horse pays per event weekend. Once a horse reaches its cap (3x the start fee), additional runs are free.
Do I pay a fee for stall reservations, tickets, or RV?
No. Start fees apply only to competitive runs. Stall reservations, RV hookups, vendor applications, and spectator tickets are processed at no additional fee.
How does producer-absorbed billing work?
Producers can absorb start fees rather than passing them to competitors. The fee structure stays the same — the producer pays the per-start fee from their revenue instead of adding it to checkout.
